In ChatGPT on the web, open Settings → Security and login and turn on Developer mode (some accounts show it under Apps → Advanced settings). Open Plugins and select +, or Apps → Create. Name it waplugin, enter https://mcp.waplugin.cloud/mcp as the MCP URL, select OAuth, and create the connection. Sign in to waplugin when prompted.

Encryption ends where AI access begins.
WhatsApp protects messages with end-to-end encryption in transit. Connecting a cloud service means intentionally making authorized messages available to waplugin and to the AI provider you choose.
We design and operate waplugin with bank-grade discipline: strict access controls, encryption, minimal retention, careful monitoring, and clear ways to revoke access. But no cloud integration can claim that your messages remain visible only to you and their original recipients.
You control retention and deletion. Choose how much WhatsApp history waplugin keeps—from full history to nothing—and change it at any time. You can also delete a connection: access and syncing stop, live account data is purged, and any residual backup copies expire under our published retention policy. Backups cannot revive a deleted connection. This does not erase chats on your phone or copies already shared with your AI provider.
Use waplugin only for conversations you are comfortable sharing with these services. Avoid highly sensitive personal, medical, legal, or financial information.
